Marine Fuel Coordination and Petroleum Trade — West Africa
PHOENIX EF GROUP
Phoenix EF Group is a Nigeria-based intermediary providing on-ground coordination support for international bunkering companies and petroleum cargo traders operating in West African markets. We work across the full Nigerian port corridor, covering Lagos, Tin Can, Apapa, Onne, Port Harcourt, Warri, and Calabar, as well as Ghana’s Tema and Takoradi, supporting traders and trading houses with supplier coordination, delivery execution, and local market intelligence.
Clarity in Complex Markets
We bring structure and alignment to petroleum transactions, helping convert complex deal flows into clear and executable pathways.
Compliance Without Compromise
Every transaction is approached with strict verification and due diligence awareness, ensuring integrity across counterparties and institutions.
Confidence Where It Matters Most
By aligning supply, demand, and capital, we help create the conditions for transactions to move forward with clarity and control.
WHAT WE DO
Beyond Facilitation
Phoenix EF Group operates as a structured intermediary across petroleum cargo transactions and marine fuel operations. Our role goes beyond making introductions. We stay engaged through the full transaction cycle, ensuring that counterparties are properly qualified, documentation is aligned, and execution is coordinated through to completion.
We work across two primary markets. In West African bunkering, we provide on-ground coordination for international trading houses managing vessel nominations into Nigerian and Ghanaian ports. In petroleum cargo trade, we facilitate structured transactions between verified buyers and supply mandates across global markets.
Our Services & Capabilities
Phoenix EF Group delivers structured solutions in global commodities, trade finance, intelligence, and capital markets. Our capabilities are built on compliance, precision, and a trusted global network.
Commodities Transactions
We facilitate structured petroleum cargo transactions between verified buyers and sellers across global markets.
Product coverage includes ULSD, Jet A1, VLSFO, HSFO, and MGO.
Our coordination covers buyer and seller qualification, transaction structuring, documentation alignment, and execution support through to completion. All engagements cover both cargo supply on a global basis and bunkering support in West Africa.
Bunkering Coordination — West Africa
We provide on-ground coordination support for international bunkering companies and trading houses nominating vessels into West African ports. This covers the full Nigerian port corridor and Ghana’s primary bunkering locations. Our work includes supplier introductions, barge scheduling, port liaison, and delivery confirmation. For trading houses managing nominations from overseas, we provide the local execution layer that desk-based trading cannot replicate.
Market Intelligence and Transaction Support
We provide counterparties with operational market intelligence relevant to their transactions, including supplier availability, port conditions, lead time awareness, and counterparty screening in West African markets. This supports better decision-making at every stage of a transaction, from initial engagement through to execution.
Capital and Trade Finance Introductions
Where transactions require funding support or trade finance alignment, we facilitate introductions to institutional capital partners. We work with energy sector investors and structured finance partners to help create the conditions for transactions to proceed where capital is a limiting factor. We do not act as lenders or financial advisors.
Strategic Partnerships
We facilitate introductions between energy sector counterparties, institutional platforms, and capital partners where strategic alignment supports transaction execution or business development objectives.
Where It Counts
If you are looking for a partner who stays engaged until the deal is done, we would welcome the conversation.
Bunkering & Execution Support (West Africa)
Bunkering and Execution Support — West Africa
Phoenix EF Group provides on-ground bunkering coordination for international trading houses and bunkering companies nominating vessels into West African ports. We cover the full Nigerian port corridor and Ghana’s primary bunkering locations.
Port coverage includes Lagos, Tin Can Island, Apapa, Lekki, Onne, Port Harcourt, Warri, and Calabar in Nigeria, and Tema and Takoradi in Ghana.
For trading houses coordinating vessel nominations into these ports from overseas, we provide the local presence and port-level relationships that desk-based trading cannot replicate.
Our coordination scope covers supplier and physical barge operator introductions, NMDPRA-licensed supply chain vetting, barge scheduling and anchorage lead time intelligence, delivery alignment and confirmation, port authority and terminal liaison, and issue management through to completion.
In this market, transactions often break down during execution. We help ensure delivery aligns with agreement.
How We Work
Our Process
Phoenix EF Group follows a structured engagement process built around three priorities: verifying that counterparties and mandates are legitimate, ensuring that documentation and transaction terms are properly aligned before any commitment is made, and coordinating execution on the ground so that what is agreed on paper actually happens in the port.
All counterparties are subject to standard KYC and compliance screening before any transaction engagement proceeds.
01. Counterparty Verification and Compliance
Before any engagement proceeds, Phoenix EF Group conducts standard screening of all counterparties to confirm identity, legitimacy, and transaction capacity. All parties are subject to KYC compliance checks. Documentation and transaction terms are reviewed for completeness and consistency before any introduction is made.
02. Structured Introduction and Alignment
Once counterparties are verified, we manage the introduction process with discipline. Buyers and sellers are brought together only when both sides have confirmed capacity and serious intent. Intermediary chains are respected and protected against circumvention throughout. Transaction terms, documentation requirements, and process expectations are aligned before execution begins.
03. On-Ground Execution and Completion Support
For bunkering transactions, execution means physical coordination at the port level, covering supplier scheduling, barge operations, delivery confirmation, and issue resolution on the ground. For cargo transactions, it means maintaining documentation integrity, counterparty communication, and deal flow management through to completion. We remain engaged until the transaction closes, not just until the introduction is made.
